Enforcing Underage Drinking Laws Initiative

Funded by the D.C. Justice Grants Administration, this one-year project began in October 2011 and is the second award through this funding stream aimed at creating and supporting charter school chapters of the nationally-known program, Students against Destructive Decisions.

Schools involved in this project are Friendship PCS-Collegiate Campus, William E. Doar, Jr., PCS, Howard Road Academy PCS-Middle School Campus, and National Collegiate PCS.

Project staff provides training and support to advisors and students, and works with them to conduct a city-wide awareness campaign regarding underage drinking as well as develop a resource guide geared to students who engage in underage drinking or who have family members who suffer from alcoholism.
